Jackson, honestly there are other things that you should be worrying about that are much more important than muscle tone. Yes, I do have a little bitch that is muscular and I do like how she looks, HOWEVER the fact she is well muscled, has a well muscled father, and as a puppy looked as though she would develop into an animal that would be well muscled is NOT why I got her. Nothing more than icing on the cake. You talk about breeding, yet all you seem to be concerned about is how much muscle your dog is going to get. First of all, if you have to build muscle by workouts and special diets then it's not in your dogs genetic predisposition to be that way which obviously means it's not going to present itself in the puppies so it's a moot point. Please reconsider breeding until you have gained more knowledge. Serious breeders who want to produce quality animals don't base their breeding programs on muscle tone, they base it on temperament and health. They have actual goals they want to achieve and have a plan in place to help them achieve their goals. Those plans generally include tests for temperament along with tests that look for health problems that are associated with a particular breed.

There are enough people who lack the knowledge to be good breeders that are out there pumping out puppies to peddle to the uniformed pet market...we don't need any more. Just because a lot of people do it, doesn't make it right. If you want the respect of your peers in the bulldog community, forget about breeding for now and concentrate on learning about what constitutes a breed quality dog, the traits to look for, how to read and match pedigrees, the different types of breeding (out crossing, line breeding, in breeding etc). The fact you are so focused on "muscle", is a clear indication that you lack the knowledge to start breeding anytime in the near future. Before you involve yourself in breeding, you should become involved in the BREED. It doesn't take any brains to put a bitch in heat together with a dog in the back yard and create a litter of puppies. It does however take some brains and experience in order to create a QUALITY litter of puppies with a real purpose behind it other than to make money.
