Default Guys, have a wolfdog issue...

There is a "Husky" mix at my animal control.

http://www.beachpetpals.org/animals/...imalID=1811923

He needs someone knowledgeable, I absolutely cannot take him on right now, I don't have the physical room for another ADULT canine.
I would HATE HATE HATE to look on my local kijiji and find out someone got him, didn't neuter, and now have him up for stud or sale... He needs someone good.

AC here will fix any animal over 4 weeks old, and over 2 lbs.
maybe instead of fostering, because of lack of room, you can donate to have the dog altered before its placed...though i also agree that its odd for them to not neuter him before hes placed.

They have something saying under Va state law, they must get the animals altered, BUT, it's the owner's responsibility.

There were three PR UKC APBTs WITH papers at the shelter, a mother, son, and father. All adults... Beautiful dogs. I did do a lot to find rescue or owners for them, I found one lady whom I trust that does bully rescue the next state over, who was willing to foster all three. The shelter wouldn't even come up with a plan because they weren't neutered, and shot her down.

They were adopted by personal homes, I believe.

Then I went on to craigslist and saw a posting looking for a female pit bull companion, I looked, and inside was a picture of Max, the blue and white daddy. It said he was fixed, but needed a friend, so no worries about breeding. Within a week I saw him on craigslist with an $800 stud fee... I informed the shelter, no replies. His next post was again for a stud service and that he was for sale... After she sold him, this BITCH posted on kijiji that she was looking for a pit bull, I believe it said any color, any age, with papers, because she had just lost her male, Max.

She then started using small breeds, I saw everything form her posts looking for these dogs, to saying she has bitches and stud available for breeding, selling pups and then selling the dogs.

So as you can imagine I am very uneasy about this...

I'll see what I can do. But from what I've been through this isn't a very cooperating place.

Wolfdog rescue came back saying he has no wolf at all, and they won't use time fwding his email to their contacts..

There is a guy out by me that runs a wolf sanctuary and rescue deal. I don't know if he can or will help but it's worth giving it a shot. Here's his website:

Did they test DNA or is this just their "assessment".

I suppose it was the man's personal opinion... Because I doubt he could get to Va beach, have a DNA test done, get the results, and then get back to me within a few hours.

I will keep trying
