I LOOOOVE Boerboels. I saw 2 of them in a rescue and wanted to save them so badly... but obviously I have no room for them. Gorgeous dogs though.

My pup does share a number of the attributes, I have come to the conclusion that she is English Bulldog and Mastiff. Which none of this means anything significant to me except to keep in check with her health. I have no desire to breed her, I got her to be a therapy dog. Her temperament is unmatched as far as Bully Breeds go, purebred or otherwise. I research as much as possible and ask questions to those I trust for guidance on the best care I can give my girl. She is extremely healthy and fit, a great guardian of our home and a gentle giant with small children, and an absolute gift to my family.[/url]
Dogue De Bordeaux are not that rare. They are getting quite popular (especially since one starred in Turner and Hooch). Our Mastiff meetup group has at least as many DDBs in it as it does Old English and Bullmastiffs. In fact, I suspect that my Bullmastiff has some DDB in her bloodline.

I both have an English Bulldog and Bullmastiff in my house.
And I totally have no idea how can they mate due to a BIG difference of size.

What is English Bull Mastiff??
Do U means Bullmastiff From UK or UK Bloodline?

Kasmodu, I know the dog in question and what a great dog she is. She is a cross between a Neo Mastiff and a Hermes OEB. What a beautiful, and balanced dog. No health issues with her thus far.

Bullmastiffs are of English origin and "English Bullmastiff" has been a name that has properly been used for for them, as is the name "Gamekeepers Dog".

do you know what a Bandog is??
a mastiff/mastiff cross would not equal a bandog.

Bandog is a term that origionally ment any dog that was left outside in a yard etc as a guard or watch dog.
More recently it is often used to discribe various types of guarding or mixes of guarding or molosser type dogs. It is a very broad term.
A DDB/Bullmastiff mix or a Bullmastiff/OEB mix would no doubt fit many (if not most) folks definition of a Bandog.
