I know this is going to sound dumb but how often do females come into heat?

LMAO!
Y'all crack me up.

Sounds like she's going into heat again. Better take her to your cousin's just to be safe. Then get her spayed after the heat ends.

yea.. she's definitely getting more swollen now.. but the weird thing is, my male could care less.... he gives her a sniff occasionally and then proceeds doing whatever it was he was doing showing no interest in mounting her... which is a good thing, i'd hate to have to give a swift kick to the nuts .. lol

Just in case get a baby gate and seperate them while she s in heat.. bring her to your cousins or crate & rotate while she s in heat..

it will happen when your not looking..

i wouldn t take a chance...

It takes Blue a couple of days to realize that Teeny is in heat but when he does his mind totally goes. I would definitely bring her over to your cousin's house ASAP so that spay doesn't have to turn into a spay/abort.

He can actually get her through the baby gate.

Yes they have a way of backing up and standing ready if your crate is the wire kind.

luckily i dont work so i'm home all the time to keep an eye on them.. but i'll definitely see if my cousin will take her for now .. gonna start letting them out to the bathroom separately too, just in case.. and if he starts going crazy, i'll rotate them.. one outside, one inside.. then switch em up so one doesnt feel left out

My cousin has OEB's at home and her female went into heat so I babysat Doser for her. Unfortunately that made Zoe go into heat sooner than expected she went back into a heat cycle after 3 months of being out to. I thought I could control them but Doser broke my baby gate, he broke the doggie door, he wouldn't eat and all he would think about was Zoe. So I had to keep them in different rooms. But then Doser started to try and eat through the wall So my cousin had to come and get him I couldn't do it anymore. I was trying to help her out but I couldn't risk Zoe getting pregnant!!! Boy am I glad my male Chihuahua is fixed!

This is Doser!

I learned a BIG lesson doing this Don't ever underestemate a male Dog when a female is in heat!!
I don't think I will be doing that again until Zoe is fixed.
