You may end up regretting getting a spiked collar. Some of those spikes can be really sharp and scratch the crap out of you. When I first got into bulldogs, I bought a real nice spiked leather collar at a bulldog show. It's wide and very "cool" looking. Had to have it. Ended up putting it on my dog once and never used it again. VERY impractical. It has spent the past 6 yrs or so packed in a Rubbermaid bin down in the basement. Total waste of money. It's amazing how much your tastes change the longer you are involved in dogs. Practicality tends to over ride the "cool" factor after a while.

im having horrible visions here...scratches, holes, lots of pain...those things hurt when the dog brushes against your leg, they snag on the couch when the dogs walk past it, getting them entangled...
capone is the kind of dog that likes to flop over and scrub around on my feet...he will practically GRIND the buckle of his flat collar on my toes, or even worse, his prong...and those things point IN. i would have daily puncture wounds if my dog wore a spiked collar....

I never had a problem with Mags wearing the spiked collar - no holes or scratches in anything - everyone once in a while she would snuggle against me too tight and it would poke me but it didn't hurt it was just annoying. Anyway - PM me your address and I'll mail you the collar.

thats awesome.
Someday I will get Bones a spiked collar, maybe stud and spike. It would be his walk about collar. Everytime someone wants info on spiked collars most of you are so discouraging.

I know someone who had a spiked collar on his dog and it caught another dog in the eye. It really hurt the other dog and cost a lot of money in vet bills. If you do not have other dogs or mater does not play with other dogs then no worries but they can also stab you so be careful. Just wanted to share that but you should get whatever you like for your dog. He is a great looking dog.

We buy all our dogs collars for functionality not flash. It's just not important to me. I would however love to have one from Mollossismaster (sp). No spikes though. My dogs put enough hurt on me without gaping flesh wounds.
