Default What is wrong with people?

This was on one of the pitbull boards on Facebook.

His question...
Quote:
I have a female in heat. She has blood in her pee and it smells bad and has blood clots in it. How long will she be in heat, it seems like she has been in heat for a month. We have a male in the home, we are breeding with her. Should I be worried?
My reply...
Quote:
You don't even know anything about a dog's heat cycle, yet you are breeding her?
How old is she?
How old is your male?
What health tests have you done on them?
What titles, awards, certifications do either of them hold?
What registry(ies) are they with?
How many puppies do you have deposits on?
What is your purpose for doing this breeding?
Seriously, there are enough unwanted, "cute" puppies in shelters. Do not breed, just because.
His reply...

My females are ckc registered and are 2 1/2 years old 100% razor edge blood line. My male is 6 months old and ADBA registered he is 75% razor edge, 15% gaff, 10% TNT blood line. All of my dogs have very impressive pedigree's with purple ribbon AKC registered show dogs. They are in top shape. My female had a little infection, that a little Dannon's yogurt cleared up. We was not ready to start breeding them but we woke up and they was stuck together. We will start taking deposits once we know if she is having puppies. These dogs are not hard to sell. People are already wanting puppies and willing to pay $1600.00 each. Yes, there are alot of dogs in shelters and that is the governments fault for not making people micro chip puppies sold, so they can be traced back to the owner were they can pay a fine. I live in the county, where I see most dogs and cats don't get the chance to be in a shelter. They die from not eating, hart worms, cars and trucks hit them for fun. If you live a week in the country, you would say the dogs in the shelter have it made getting to be adopted or at least die without pain and suffering. Shelters hate breeders because they hate a pure breed dog. It's hard to find a home for a mutt, most people want papers on there dog. Have the government stop welfare and start funding animal shelters and our tax dollars would be better spent. I don't think I should have to pay, because some women doesn't know who there babies daddy. They can get a job or go to school and work and there is free day care. We need laws that give these animals more rights and protection. Like dog fighting, it needs to stop and it needs to carry a felony charge in all states and judge's and law enforcement need to back it up. I have a cop down the street that shot my friends pit for being loose. That cop knows it is a felony in Arkansas for what he did. The more that goes on in Washington, the more I hate government. If you want change, vote for people that love animals. Get those in Washington out, ASAP.
My reply...
Quote:
CKC (Continental Kennel Club) is a crap registry. They will register anything whether it's purebred or not.
AKC does not have a "Purple Ribbon" program, that is UKC.
This statement shows how ignorant you are.
"It's hard to find a home for a mutt, most people want papers on there dog."
Your female is a mutt, as will be her puppies. You cannot register any of them with a reputable registry (ADBA, UKC, AKC, etc.). In UKC, once altered, you can ILP them to be able to compete performance events, but you can also do that with your run of the mill pound puppy.
Just because your dogs are "in top shape" to you, doesn't mean sh*t. If your dog can't place in the conformation ring, pass ATTS testing, and compete/title in at least one performance venue (agility, flyball, weightpull, dock diving, hog hunting, etc.), you shouldn't be breeding. Not to mention the health testing that should be completed also.
It is because of irresponsible owners and backyard breeders, that the APBT breed is spiraling down the crapper.
Do the breed (and us responsible owners) a favor. Have your bitch/bitches spayed, the litter aborted, and label them as what they are "a great family pet". Do not breed dogs that contribute nothing to the breed.
UGH! Make the stupid people stop!
BTW, feel free to join the FB group and offer your opinion too.

I can totally hear Cleetus!

And by the way I live in the country where people take in strays off the street NOT run them over for fun. He's one of the reason us "hillbillies" get a bad rap for being ignorant dumba**es!

I personally think that there should be certain tests for people to be able to reproduce or even own a pet (let alone breed them). I know it sounds harsh but it's people like him that make the human population look like a**holes in the animal kingdom.

I won't lower myself to your level. I hope we meet at a ADBA show in Memphis sometime. Cyrus's dad and grand dad placed first and second place last week. I also have a pet store, that will buy from me. So, step off!!

My grandparents live in the farm country in Michigan and never once have i heard of people hitting dogs on purpose. I know a few people that pick up dogs they see and do everything they can to find owners or simply after a few days of not hearing anything about amissing dog keep the dog themselves and give them a home. That guy is retarded
