Default SKUNK

Granted we live in a forested area, but until 3 weeks ago, I had not close-encountered a skunk during our evening walk on the neighborhood street. A couple weeks ago it was in the front yard of our neighbor, luckily moving parallel to us, we just quickly walked on and it was gone when we came back. Last night, one was in our front yard (we didn't see it, but Ivy knew something was there). We took our walk, came back, and as we're approaching the house, skunk was seen entering the drain pipe that connects the ditch on each side of the drive. Anyone know of something I can put in that pipe to keep Mr Skunk from setting up a permanent, or even semi-permanent home in that pipe?

I cannot think of anything because the purpose of the pipe is to keep the water flowing.
Here, they have put bars and screens on some of the openings but then you have to be
diligent about keeping them cleared off or the water backs up and diverts out.

Good luck.

I guess the pipe is not wide enough to fit your dog in it
Doing the googlee eyes search for "skunk deterrent" the first link

Good luck.
Now I need to figure out how the hell a possum managed to find a permanent home on the sidewalks of Brooklyn, NY where the rats and squirrels are dominating the market

Go out by the pipe and pee all around it, it might keep the skunks away

I live right on a large city park in Seattle and the first couple months we lived there we notice racoons very frequently. to the point that my front motion sensor like would click on at least 4 times a night and wake me up, but since we got Yuri, he pees and poos right out front and i remember waking up one night when the lights came on and saw to bog racoons out sniffing around where Yuri pees, and since then in the last month i think i have seen them...once...maybe. so i say take up dog over around the pipe to use the restroom and it should convince the skunks that a new place might be a good idea
