OK, I can't see the video. It says it's a picture. I'm not sure if it's me because I never see any pictures on this new forum, just links that I have to click.

There's a store by me called Bird Jungle and they have all these beautiful birds just hanging out in the open. I like to go there and visit - they had a white cockatoo there that had a sign out that said "I talk & bite too". Well I was too close to his area and he decided to hop onto my shoulder and wouldnt get off. He was swinging from my hair. My nieces were hysterical.
They also have a mascot - she was a beautiful coral color cockatoo. She would hand upside down and stretch her neck so you could pet her. VERY WEIRD feeling petting a bird.

Growing up my parents owned a petstore... we used to have an African Grey named Georgie... and he used to stay in the fish room at night so no one saw him in the windown and tried to steal him. When we came in he would say Hello... Hellooooo... and if we didn't get him out... he would shout... Help Help Let me out!!! I loved that bird! Is yours an African Grey?

I love parrots! But also know that they are too much work for me personally.
Keya sounds like an absolute hoot and I'm glad you have the chance to enjoy him.

i plan on having a couple of large birds, but it won't be for a while. They are expensive, more than i am capable of, and im not in a place where i could have a screaming animal. the early morning calls, and general parrot screaming doesn't bother me, but neighbors would be highly irritated, im sure.

One of my favorite bird stores back home has a hawk-headed parrot, they warn everyone that he will bite, but that little bugger will actually call for you to come closer to his cage or play stand ("hey you, over here","closer") and wait for you to think hes all friendly and innocent, then he'll try to bite the snot out of you, then laugh.

But, they also have the most affectionant(but non-dependent, which is important) Golden Conure, when she gets a little older, they have liscense to breed from her, and i have been promised one of the hand raised babies! that will be a few years yet though. I also want a Harlequin Maccaw, and i Love Cockatoos, but they are needy needy, bordering on neurotic if you don't give them direct attention 24/7.

Yes Keya is an African Grey Congo, there are also Timnehs which are smaller darker grey and the tail is more burgundy then red. He isn't going to be very happy with me tomorrow as he has an appointment to have his beak and nails grinded.

Yeah, my dad used to do the nails and wings. Some of the birds REALLY don't like that!

The first time I took him the Vet warned me that he may drip blood from his eyes while his beak was being ground. He said they get so upset that there blood pressure rises and that can pop the blood vessels in their eyes. This didn't happen with Keya but he was struggling to bite him
