Default Butters is having surgery tomorrow

Just a little note to say that Butters is having surgery tomorrow. He started acting strange Thursday night. He would go out and squat (which is odd, he hikes) and would stay this way for 1-3 minutes. Come to find out, he was not urinating. And he started vomitting and grunting in pain. He has bladder stones. One is lodged and blocking his urine. Butters is still on his prednisone for the lymphoma. The CMO resolved itself. He's sure been through it. I couldn't turn my back on the little fighter now. It's our last straw. The doc is nice enough to split the bill into two payments for me. Husband has been laid off for a year. He's litterly worked two weeks. (Last and this) and then this hits us. I can only pray little Butters makes it through and that the stones don't come back for years. Doc says they'll definitely come back. He just can't say WHEN.

So sorry that Butters is going through this. I will keep him in my thoughts.
Have you talked to the doctor about his food? Perhaps a different diet could
help them from coming back.

Here is an article you may find helpful.

Thank you again everyone. The doc called this morning and said they were putting him under and did I want to go ahead with neutering while he was under. So he will do that too. I laid in bed last night thinking of that actually - because at one point I was going to have it done anyway, because of him and my other male dog fighting. Now I'll have to neuter the pipsqueak Richie too. Even that mess out... lol She said they will call when Butters wakes up from surgery. I'll of course post and let you all know. This forum has went through all the ups and downs with us. It just seems natural to tell Butters' friends what's going on with him.
