Default Hopefully Butters is coming home in the morning!

I went to visit my baby today and took him outside for the first time since Monday. They took the catheter out and his cone off. So we walked and he did go pee for me!!! At first he squatted and scared me silly. Nothing came out for like 10-12 seconds. It was like OH NO.... then some blood, then finally he peed. And peed..... lol We were so happy! They said he HAD to do it on his own today to go home with me tomorrow. They won't say for sure, but he said probably tomorrow morning. I am praying. I need him back home. Miss him so much. He ate good and drank. I believe he will come home. I also had to go and pay the first payment on this surgery. One down, two more to go. Shew.

Hope to post a pic tomorrow and say HE'S HOME!!! Thanks to everyone who followed my posts and prayed for us. We needed it! Thinking of you all and your beloved pets too.

Default A bump in the road :(

Got home with Butters and he apparently popped a stitch. He had his intestines coming out. It was hanging out and I freaked out. So he had to go back. I stayed - Dr. took him right into surgery. I stood and talked to the doc while they poked his insides back in and restitched. He said he would be fine. Just meant a few more days in the hospital. Butters had eaten this morning, and the anesthesia made him sick. He vomitted about 3 times. Barely awake now... so that was hard. We had one holding him and I was wiping out his mouth and another was getting him clean blankets to lay on. I stayed with him as long as I could. The vet was closed by this point. So doc told me to go on home and they would make sure he was fine. And he'd call me later on after 6 and let me know about Butters. he said people would be in/out all weekend to look after the dogs/cats.

Butters is very swelled and bruised. (This even before the latest surgery this morning.) So I imagine he will be terribly sore this evening. Very puffy and red. But my Lord, he is a trooper. He never whined or cried. I'm driving down the road looking at him and his little insides are hanging out and he is just standing there like WHAT? We're going bye bye... He loves to go in the car. I cried all the way there so that was out of the way when I got there. I was done with that. I was back to lets get him fixed.

Please keep on praying for Butters. We are just having terrible luck. Today was a little bump in the road. Hopefully we will get through this and put it BEHIND us for good.....
