Default Pet Wipes V.S. Baby Wipes Question

Does anyone know if baby wipes are ok to use on dogs mainly EB's. I use pet designed wipes on Charlie for his face wrinkles at least 2 times a day and then a dry tissue to clean away the moisture. Pet wipes are more expensive and you get less then you do with a baby wipe package. He seems to sweat a lot and has gewy stuff coming out of the inside corners of his eyes that I clean out other wise it starts smelling kinda funky.

I used natural baby wipes for sensitive skin on my EB when I fostered him, worked fine as long as they were dried after. I would make sure not to use any scented ones that would cause irritation and be aware that if there is any infection it won't treat it - some pet wipes do.

+1 we use non scented baby wipes with aloe... just BE SURE TO DRY.. it is the moisture that causes problems..

also if his eyes have a lot of gewy stuff coming out you may want to talk to your vet about rewetting drops.

alot of EB use them for their eyes..

do wipes list active ingredients or anything like that? I have 2 kids in diapers we buy the store brand wipes from Sam's Club you get around 700 for 15 bucks. I've never looked to see what's in them though.

Just a thought but could you just use a damp paper towel? seems like that would be cheaper than either wipe option adn you know the only thing being used is water.

I have a 4 month old in the house too and have been using the Costco Kirkland brand baby wipes on both my babies... have had no issues as of yet with Chloe (my EBD).

What kind of dog needs "baby" wipes? Oh crap, shoot me now.

I know ,I know ,I know, there are dogs that need that kind of care. Not mine.

I have used baby wipes on all my dogs, usually as a touch up between baths or if they get into something stinky.

As for the eye drops, you can most likely just use regular eye drops from a drug store - just make sure they are labeled as something like artificial tears and not ones for contacts, etc.
