its up to you, personally, i give cooked ham bones everytime i can get them, my dogs handle them well.
But, i know they make Juggs crap himself, so each dog is different.

if you decide to, maybe only leave it down for 10-15 minutes at first, then take it up and wait 12-25 hours to see if its given your pup the runs or not, then go from there.

being a weight bearing bone, unless your dog is just massive, its unlikely they can shatter it(it can happen for sure, its just unlikely)
and even then, it will usually crack open, not shatter into splinters like the smaller bones.

also, see how "moist" it is. if it came off a well cooked, nice and juicy ham, the bone should still be pretty "supple", not the same as raw, but generally safe.

"supple" mmmmmmmmm. i gave it to her for 15 min she loved it. didnt get to the bone though. im going to give it to her later today see how she does. thanks for your help.its nice to give her something other than dog food once in awhile. im just not to savy on what is good for her or not. and with her probable allergies (not tested yet) i want to be carefull. i do know beef does not agree with her. they want almost $1,000 for the allergy test. because they will have to put her under..the way i figure it she is doing fine on the lamb and rice food so i can wait.
