Default Dogs on Treadmills

Does anyone have a treadmill that they let their dogs run on? I just read this article (petcentric - Stories - Train Your Dog to Run on a Treadmill) about adjusting weight and attitude problems by letting your dog run on a treadmill. It's probably good exercise in the winter when you don't want to spend too long outside on a walk or a run. What are your thoughts?

How did you get your pups used to running/walking on the treadmill? We have one and I think it would be awesome to get Mater to use it.

I never got Zeus to use the one I bought for him. It's a dog one and cost me $600 by the time it was delivered. It looks great but it's now just another piece of furniture. The cat used it for a while as a bed but it's now in the garage.
