Not the best pics but only new ones I have right now. Mack is 4 1/2 months old, weighed in at 28lbs. Would you consider him overweight or pretty normal? Both his parents are good size. Mom is 60lbs, dad is 65lbs and are both solid.
He is getting fed Natural Balance lamb/rice 1/2cup 3 times/day. ![]()

make sure you can feel his ribs easily (without feeling around) and that he has a waist when standing and looking at him from above. So if he looks like a sausage from above then he's overweight.

I think the amount of food you are giving is good just be sure to exercise. Duke is now 54-55 pounds very active and we can tell he feels alot better.

Thanks for that. I think I would put him between a 5 and 6 on that chart. He has a good waist and you can feel the ribs.
Will have to get some more exercise. Not sure how, he doesn't sit still all day the way it is! Don't really want to cut the food, he acts half starved all day now. |

Can you post some better pictures of your dog? Post some of him standing both from the top and from the side...its looks like he is pudgy in these pics but hard to tell because he is sitting.
