Thanks everyone! I love love love to crochet. I can knit too, but I am far better/quicker at crochet. I also sew a bit, I'm in the process of making curtains for K's room from a cute fabric I found. I love to repurpose things too. I made a plastic grocery sack holder from a pillowcase I had that I had lost the sheet set too.
WP, as far as patterns go, I follow them to a point, but make my own changes. Although, the small blanket I'm working on now, I'm following the pattern very closely, only using a smaller hook, and making less squares(it's a motif pattern.) Plus, I'm using 2-3 colors when the pattern only calls for 1. I think it'll be much prettier. The great thing about crochet is that it's never final until you fasten it off. Crocheting is easy to learn, if you have someone to show you in person. It's hard to explain in writing. You could probably search youtube for videos though. I've been crocheting since I was 9, both my mother and grandmother crochet. My other grandmother knits, so I learned how to do both. I get bored easily though, so I stick to small projects(like beanies and such.) My mother makes full afghans, and made me a beautiful one. My grandmother made K one too, that I just love. LOL Kendra, I hate when I lose my hooks. I keep them in a Crown Royal bag, in my tote of yarn. My knitting needles go in a plastic case thing. I have 4 hooks, F, G, H, and a N(for fabric strips, or doing those plastic bag rugs.) I tend to lose my yarn needle more than anything. I keep a knitting needle rubber tip on it, but still lose it frequently.

I just wanted to post this for all the crocheters out there, or anyone wanting to learn:
This site has a TON of free patterns, tips, and even how-to's to begin. http://www.crochetpatterncentral.com/index.php I would make a how to video, but I've learned that I hold my hook very oddly. My mother makes fun of me for it, and I make fun of her for how she holds her hook. Anyway, just wanted to share that with you all!
