Pitbulls shot in Racine

Uggg - this article appeared in the paper in the city I work in - when I read it I just shook my head. What was this woman's pitbull doing alone at the house with nothing but a screen door keeping it from the outside, why was the puppy in the front yard unattended, and why didn't the cops let the neighbor try to get the dogs in!!!?!?!? I mean this has irresponsible ownership written all over it like the story says - but I always question when officers say the dog was "vicious" and "charging" since I often see Mags and Petey act in ways that are playful or defensive but not aggressive in any way. Just makes me so sad.

Oh and the best part of the article - that this woman paid $2000 for her blue pit pup. Knowing Racine as well as I do, this woman did not get her dog from a reputible breeder, which means shes was stupid enough to pay some BYB 2 grand probably just because this dog was blue and so "rare" - UGGGG
