They look like backyard breeders to me. Did anyone else notice how the newscaster mentioned the "father of the puppies is a REGISTERED American Bulldog"? Why even mention that if the mother is too? I bet the mother doesn't even have papers based on that statement alone. It also makes you wonder why they notified the news about this? Could it be they want help peddling the puppies? I know they mention they are "up for adoption" but whether or not that is true..who knows..Not to mention the fact that most reputable breeders would have culled several puppies from that litter by now....Most backyard breeders don't have the heart to do that and of course culling would cut into their profits...I know that sounds mean and harsh to talk about culling puppies but honestly most breeders I know would not have put the mother through that..

Is it true that usually the runts are often culled?

"True runts" should be culled from litters, they usually die as pups or develop into sickly non vigorous unhealthy adults.

That is a crap ton of puppies! They made it sound like they just had them weaned at 6 weeks. I sure as hell hope, for the mom's sake, it was actually much earlier!!

I noticed that too, they will probably also be approached by the food companies too for publicity.
