No my tattoo hasnt faded any I use a Tattoo Fade Shield Sunblock Stick (that is made by Miami Ink) that helps keep the color.... The sun will pull out the color in tattoos really bad. I have also known of a friend thats tattoo faded and she used the same stuff and it brought the color back some, not to the same as it was when she got it. Also I use LA Ink Total Moisture, that keeps good also..[/quote]

To the people that say that there tattoos are fading..... Before you have it recolored try one or both of the products that I listed above. I like them both....

According to my husband the rib ones definately do not feel good. It probably doesn't help that he is extremely thin. I watched and I can tell you he definately was not having any fun, but I absolutely love the results and so does he.

According to my tattoo guy being thin or fat has nothing to do with the amount of pain. It's the nerves in your skin.

I do know that when my daughters spine was done it hurt her the most out of her back piece.

Her guy told her it would be more sensitive there. I personally believe our thresholds for pain vary person to person.

Those Samoan dudes get their whole bodies done (sometimes) in one sitting and they ain't always usin' a modern tattoo gun

I also believe it it didn't hurt you need to do it again, no pain no gain when it comes to tattoos. Without the pain factor why do it? Thats my opinion on tattoos, they are supposed to hurt.

I do have a couple of small fore arm bands, the soft under side hurt more than the top of my arm.

Yeah, I guess that would make sense, but my husband has no pectoral muscle. He was born that way. So the top of the tattoo is literally on his ribs, just skin between, no muscle or fat, so it hit straight to the bone and he said he could feel it vibrating up to his neck.

For me when he was on the spine it was ok, but right when he got off it is when it hurt. I think everyone is just different.

I am going in Monday to have a back tattoo covered and redone and I am VERY excited!! I went in told my artist what I wanted, gave him a deposit and tomorrow I am going by to see his design/idea and tweak it if necessary. This will be my 3rd tattoo and I don't regret any of them, OK except the one I am covering but that was because the ink came out, I don't regret the design or placement though.

In my job we have to be able to keep them covered so I have them in places I can show them when I am out of work, but they are covered by my scrubs while I am at work.
