Default Getting nasty after 7 pm?

Bubba is now just over 1 year old.....he is the most loving, fun, affectionate pup you would ever love to meet....but....after 7 pm it's like a switch turns on and he get's aggressive.....he doesn't hurt us, he mouths our hands and arms, feet, etc....he is just a real pain in the butt!! Jumping on us, getting the zoomies (running around the basement like a nut)....we have been trying to douse ourselves with apple bitter spray but he just get's a mouthful, goes and get's a drink and comes back for more!! LOL!! Anyone else have this problem?? And what have you done to stop this?? Thanks for your help in advance.....

I doubt its aggression, it sounds like he's set up his own play time!

Is he getting enough stimulation during the day?

Mater does the same thing. I think of them like a toddler... when the get sleepy they get hyper/cranky trying to keep themselves awake. But that is just our experience with Mater.

He needs more mental/physical stimulation. Your dog is bored. Maybe try some longer walks/jogs

Apparently you are not alone in this regard. At my local Dog park there is a group of Bulldog owners who meet there most every night from around 6:30-8:30pm. I have mentioned in other threds that Bella loves to roll Bulldogs around and they love it. The owners of the Bulldogs are super nice and they always ask me to keep bringing Bella there to play with them, because they sleep so well at night afterwards. Several of them have told me that if their EBs don't get enough exercise in the early evening they are terrors around the house at night.

Also, try inplimenting NILIF (you can find the sticky in this forum). Maybe your dog is just being bratty & begging for attention.
NILIF worked wonders for me, as well as many many members on this forum. Good luck!

aww. He just wants to play.
It's just around dinner time too so you can try using a work-to-eat type toy or just do obedience training so he has to earn his meal. This will help tire him out.

I agree sounds like he needs more stimulation. After 7 at my house....both dogs are snoring on the couches or the floor in the basement. Between the two of them racing and tearing together, the kids playing with them and me taking them for walks they are exhausted at night.

This is the dog standard after dinner at my home....
