Poo under the tail

Tank sometimes gets some under his tail, as he has a very tight tail that doesn't lift up very far. It's good practice to take a warm wash cloth under there frequently so he doesn't get an infection. And of course if you see some stuck there to wipe off before it dries like concrete and then you'll be fighting to get it off.

No stopping it. But I find the firmer you poo the less you have to wipe. Depending on how tight the tail is you should be keeping it dry too with powder. I use Gold Bond medicated. This will prevent and irritation or infection from developing from the wet. To get the powder in I use one of those old ketchup bottles with the pointy tip that the restaurants used to have.

Any dog with with a long coat or skin folds like a Sharpei,Keeshond, Frenchie, etc. My AB has had that happen once or twice.

Take non-scented baby wipes with you on walks. Great for emergencies.

I usually take a little fanny-pack (oh the horror!!!) with me if we're out with the dogs with plastic bags, treats, etc., The little wipe packages will fit in there too.

Like Angie said.. any dog with extra skin, or a tight tail can have problems, but especially EB's and Frenchies with their corkscrew tails that aren't very mobile. I have found that Bella's tail has gotten a LITTLE more flexible as she has grown, not the tail itself, but how far it can come away from her bum. She still leaves me suprises though, so it is, and always will be an ongoing issue. Bullit, on the other hand, has a tail that completely avoids his little bung, but is still tight to his body, with a deep tail pocket... so he will have issues of his own, just no poo under there.

Bullit is the little one, his tail goes off to the side, Bella is the biggen, and she is the one that gets poo stuck.

well this is just news to me i mean i have had to clean him up around the booody areea when he had the shirts(haha) when i got him because i changed his food from the walmart special pedigree to Nutro and he would a present for me to clean off of him but this mornign i he to clean him up again and he moved and the baby whipe went under the tail and i found some presents so i am going have to start with that on a regualr basis i guess

It is a tough job but somebady has to do it :lol: I know I have had to dig in areas that I never thought I would have to deal with :pukeright: What we will do for the love of bullies

the sensor was is funny yes but once it get him on a regualr diet he will be a little easier to clean up. but i am gunna scrub him up tonight and just run a babby whip under his tail everytime he poops.

Poor poor babies... If they only knew their mama was plastering their behinds all over the net... :eek: :lol:

I call it flossing..LOL..My girl loves it!1 She has a slight screw tail and I use unscented baby wipe and just get it a little flossing back and forth. Not too much and I usually do it at least ever other day if not everyday. Not a big deal and she is hillarious. As soon as I go for the baby wipes she gets excited and runs between my legs..LOL..She just cant reach so that is what momma is for.

ha ha dont get mad cause you have to wipe your dogs ass. If i had a kid i would wipe his, but your suppossed to wipe a kids ass, your not supposed to wipe your dogs. But hey, have fun.
