When is it best to switch from puppy to adult food???

Chops is now 10 months and 90# and is currently eating Nutro Large Breed Puppy...

Suggestions of what to switch to?? Should I stick with a Nutro Adult formula?

I would like a better quality food, where he could eat less (and go less)...

THANKS

As far as when to switch, I've heard some people say that large breeds should be switched to adult food well before 1 year, I've heard others say to switch after a year. Personally I would just skip the dog food all together and feed raw. But that's just me :dontknow:

yea i wish i could feed raw...dont think it will happen though.

He already had problems when he was younger with growth pains, so i dont want to feed anything thats too high in protein.

Switch over now.Puppy food is high in fat and not great for there joints being on it for a long time.
I switched Buster over at 6 months of age. Some on here have never even given puppy food went straight to adult.
Correct for standard puppy food. Not necessarily so for Large Breed puppy food.

We switched Titan & Sasha this month ( the y were 5 months dec 26th) per vet suggestion & the input from here. we were feeding nutro ultra puppy switched to Canide ( may have spelled that wrong ) all stages things seem fine they love the new food and they really dig it since we started adding the yogurt (it has helped with the gas :D )
