I think I would try another vet.
Yeah, I'm going to pick up a copy of Lola'a records tomorrow morning. I'll have to find another vet that is a little more willing to help...mine told me 5 days ago that he would be in touch with me...and I've heard nothing. Lola needs a doctor that will be much less nonchalant about this.
I have never had to pick up the records to bring to another Vet. The new Vet will normally have them sent from the old Vet. They do that here so you don't have to feel uncomfortable and saves you a trip.

this is my personal opinion but i would introduce him with a 7 day span of gradually adding more and more of that new food to his old food until you have him completly on the new food on the 7th day and for the time being have him only eat his food and nuthing else edible like treats just food and water i would say until the stool problem stops if this solves it and then slowly one at a time add things back, if there is anything he is getting besides his food. that way if it is something besides the food you can find and eliminate it that way.

I'm definitely giving this a try right now...I have also set up an appointment with a new vet on Tuesday. I'll make sure they do some blood work!

My young guy is also going through this right now, and I like you am not having much luck. However I will check back with you If I find something that finally works for him.
Well, I can certainly sympathize with you! Good luck to you and your pup...I'll post back here when I have any news.

Just an update...the DVP Potato and Duck is great so far. We're on about 70% new (DVP P/D), 30% (Euk LR) old food and it seems like it's working! Her poop is much more solid now! Lets hope that this is the answer...I'm hoping that it will be back to normal soon.

So it looks like the new food did the trick! Not one unformed poop for over a week! I never thought that I'd be so excited after seeing dog turds...LOL. Thanks everyone for all of the help and suggestions. I have rescheduled her vet visit for next week. I'm still going to have some basic blood tests run just in case. Is it normal to develop food allergies after being okay with a food for a long period of time? She ate the Euk for about 8 mos or so...

As a side note, today is Lola's first birthday...I thought this pic was pretty funny...as you can see, she is THRILLED:

just a FYI and MY OPINION and i am sure some MEMBERS here also! not all vets are aware what crappy food will do to a dog!!!

i am tooo sleepy to read back but i think some1 suggested dvp? but congrads! i think member/forums can help better than a vet! i think some vets got their degree from thermometers!!!

Tha pic is hilarious!

And I'm glad the better quality food is doing the trick. In most caases, it does. And I love DVP. I feed the UltraPremium to all my dogs except for one who is on the Venison formula due to allergies to chicken & most everything else.
