st patricks day hunt

jimmy,phill,chuck and i went on a hunt for a real big boar that was seen a few days ago.we didnt find him but we did find a pretty good one.

booty bayed up with his young son chance.jimmy and phill released the catchdogs willie and rebel.

the hog was in a river when they caught him.we had to shimmy across an old bridge that was just the steel frame left to get across.it was that or swim with the gators at 1:30 am

they were at the edge when we crossed so we were able to leg him and get him tied...i'd say he is about 175 lb.not much for teeth but had a good time and im sure the dogs loved it too

He's a nice size hog. It's a shame you don't live closer. It would be cool to combine forces & hunt together.

I'm a puss now when it comes to hogs, dogs, & water. A good friend & hunting buddy lost one of his dogs when it drowned after being pulled under water by the hog (in a pond). By the time we got to the hog & dog, the dog had drowned. But at least he died doing what he loved.

Want a neat tidbit? At my wedding, 3 years ago, the caterer fixed up a nice Couchon de Lait from 2 hogs that we had caught that week before. One of her chefs did the deed (killed them) & he seemed to have a good time hunting for the alligator we had at the wedding as well. Nothing like some pork sandwiches & fried & blackened alligator to make a wedding mmm-mmmm good. :D

Maybe someday soon I'll be able to meet up with you on some hunts. We're in the process of moving to Florida...probably near Panama City though, although Tampa is our second option.

Great pics as always cracker, must have been fun! Where were you at this time, with an old ass bridge like that?

I dont know if you read any of my other post but I did find out from the couny comisisoners that is is against the state constitution to ban any specific breed of dog....so no pit bull ban here, maybe just some maditory things we have to do!

about 15 min.from my house...............great news on the breed ban...
