Hey from Florida

Hey everyone I recently added a new member to the family.. his name is Shakkha!
He is a 4 month old American Bulldog(At least he is supposed to be... maybe you guys can help me figure it out.), and he is just a lovable little guy!

I adopted him from someone local. Apparently there was a litter of 13 puppies I saw 9 of the 13. The mother died while giving birth to them so only the father was on premises.
The dad was 122 lbs HUGE AB. The ower was giving them away because he was bottle feeding them all goat milk since they were born and he was going nuts trying to keep up. I picked Shakkha because when I came into the house he ran up to me and sat on my feet :)

All the other puppies definately had the AB look in regards to being mostly white and a few brown patches but Shakkha was the only all brown one. They were 8 weeks old at the time and they had worms pretty bad. He is all healthy now but he is very very small for his age. He is 4 months and only around 20 pounds.

I do wonder however if the mom was actually an AB because for him to be an AB of 4 months 20 pouns is very very light for him.

Do you think the mom was probably a pit or lab maybe since he is so small?

He could possibly be a mix. You just never know with some people out there. He's definitely a cutie! I'm glad you took him in. I hope his brothers and sister found good homes as well.

Oh, Mater was 6 months old and only weighed 25 lbs when we rescued him - he's said to be AMStaff mix but who knows.

He is very very cute too, I dont really care if he is a mmix I just want to make sure he is healthy for the most poart

Did they tell you why mommy died...

I don t know but if i had a dog and she was having problems giving birth i d would of run to the vet...

not judging just saying....poor mommy...

he s handsome boy..beautiful shinny coat...

bullies are love bugs..they love to cuddle...well most of them :lol:

She died of an infection in her tet I was told. I took him to the vet right away and got his shots etc...

Found out he had worms and we got the yellow deworming stuff.

By the way to the user with the Amstaff Bully mix, how big is he now

I'm not sure if you are referring to me but Mater is 18 months and weighs 61 lbs as of last month when we took him to the vet.
