Sorry, I meant MRS. NEBGUY!

Any of you folks have any remedies for morning sickness that lasts 24/7? She got meds from the doctor, but she says they cause more problems than they are worth. My advice to the problem to "Man up Trooper" doesn't seem to be working. :-k Come to think of it, that's my advice to most problems medical and otherwise. She says that if anyone tells her to eat more crackers, someone is going to die. I'm afraid she means me lol.

Having been through severe morning sickness, not just once, but twice, I can tell you that she doesn't want to be told to "man up." That's a pretty good excuse for her to kill someone. Saltines didn't do jack for me, neither did any of the anti nausea medications. Even drinking to large of a gulp of water(like when you need to swallow those horsepills of a prenatal) would send me running to the bathroom. I feel her pain.

My advice is this, keep something by the bed that she can keep down, and eat it before getting out of bed in the morning, even if it's cereal. My night table looked like a small pantry for the first few months of my pregnancy. I kept dry cereal, wheat thins, anything I could manage to choke down right there. Sip water, lemonade or whatever she can keep down, don't gulp it. She still needs to eat and drink, knowing that it may come back up. The nausea IMO is worse than the vomiting anyway.

I've found that sour stuff helped me more than anything, so I did drink a lot of lemonade, and sucked on lemon drops.

I didn't have morning sickness, but what I read what just what Haus offered...eating a little something all the time. Ensuring your stomach is full. Eating those crackers immediately upon waking up.

I would offer that she drink Chamomile tea, too, but that's a choice you have to make. If you read online about chamomile tea it indicates that too much can cause "issues". So, please research that and do what you feel comfortable with, if you go that route.

I have also heard that ginger helps. :) Never tried it myself though.
Yes, she has been drinking ginger ale and it soothes her tummy some. She went back to the doctor and got some stronger nausea medication. Fortunately it's working this time. She's doing much better now thank goodness. As far as tea goes, we're kinda limited by our religion as to what we can and can't drink. I know there are some decaffeinated ones out there though, like the sleepy time ones.
