Where did you get this puppy and why was it so young when you obtained it?
I beleave he's small because the litter was sooo large (13pups) and there was parasites involved. Momma must not have given enough (vitamins, etc) while she was pregnant. As long as you continue to feed the pup puppy formula he will continue to grow well. He may remain smaller than the average bulldog though! But he sure a cutie! I qouldn't worry as long as he is healthy and he looks as if he's does fine. Keep the photos coming!!!!gingerlee said:My husband works with a man who had the litter. He nor his wife have ever bread dogs before the had 13 pups 4 of witch died. He aggreed to give us one for $100 bucks, he owed a favor to my husband. Anyways then a few of the pups started getting weak and that is when they aparently lost the 4. They then called us and let us know the one we wanted was getting weak. So i called a vet and asked if i could take a pup at 4 1/2 weeks. The did not seem to have a problem with that just made sure that I was aware I had to get puppy formula not baby formula (Duh!!). So I then took the pup to the vet, he had two kinds of parasites. The vet gave him the worm shot and sent us home with meds to continue. Today he went back to the vet. Worms are gone but still had a small amount of bacteria that needed to continue to be treated.
So our Arlo has been very weak probably on the verge of death, but with us taking him when we did and getting him the proper care he now has a chance. I just hope the others found good homes and where not left to die.
