why is my female humping my leg? it all started last night after i gave her a bath.

i was standing in the living room when she sat by my feet and glared up at me, like she had stars in her eyes :lol: and then, up she went, grabbed ahold, and bump bump bump she went :shock:

and she wouldn't stop? is this normal for girls to hump?

does this mean it's close to time for her going into heat?

should i go get her spayed?

or was she just attracted to me

she is trying to dominate you correct her and dont allow her to do it. My female tries to hump my male a lot.

a lot of times when dogs hump.... males and females... its not because they are "horny" it is because they are trying to show dominance on your or another dog.

If your not going to breed her, get her fixed anytime soon. Don't want to mess with a heat if it is unneeded

I have a male puppy Englich BUll and he humps EVERYTHING that moves or doesn't move. We named him RJ for that reason because of his striking resemblance to Ron Jeremy (umm, I only know who he is becasue I was told but someone else who watches those kinds of films..lol), but anyway, the breeder told me that not only is it a dominance thing but in EB's it can sometimes be an act of nervousness.
My pup is only 12 weeks so hormones shouldn't be kicking in quite yet but he does have a group of Chinese Cresteds over here that follow him around trying to figure out what he is and why he looks so different so it would make sense that he's nervous.

Either way, I am hoping that he will abandon that behavior eventually. I was told NOT to neuter him to early since that hormonal surge that they experience is something they need to mature fully. I'm still on the fence about that and may bring it up in another thread to get some opinions, advice , etc.

It's embarrassing though...RJ humping away at my feet while I'm trying to look dignified in my office..lol
