Great pictures, James. I have always thought Bubba was very handsome.
Regarding the camera...the graininess could be related to low light. I often have the same probem with my camera indoors or outside in the dark. Read up a bit on your flash...sometimes it can just be a matter of being too far away from what you are taking a picture of.
