Acorn eating???

Is this bad? My dogs have both been "grazing" on fallen acorns lately... I can't get them to stop; they're all over the yard. Are acorns bad for dogs?

I would say keep your dog from eating them.
Some info from some other sites:

Acorns can be very toxic in quantity. The tannic acid, and other contents
I'm not sure of, can be very hard on the kidneys. The've been known to
kill cattle with prolong consumption.

Acorns can also cause a bowel obstruction.

Scout started eating acorns when we first moved into our new house... she would eat them and then promptly come inside and throw them up. We would go out there and tell her not to eat them, and either that worked or she just figured out that they were making her sick. I'd try to keep them from eating them if possible.
Thanks guys.

Jesse is battling some ferocious diarrhea today... I'm wondering if it's because of the acorns? Either way, at least he's not exactly blocked up. We are going to keep a much closer eye on him when he's in the yard; it is SO hard to keep him from eating those acorns because they're EVERYWHERE right now.

The good thing is that they are not like leaves, They just drop during one season about
every three years. Best thing to do is rake them up or rent a tent full of squirrels.

My dogs are acorn hoovers. So far so good.
