My Staffy pup is on California Natural (puppy) (same manufacturer as Innova).

Could anyone recommend a better brand, or should i swap to Innova.

I live in Australia... and unfortunately i have never heard of some of the brands talked about on this site!

Could someone give me the top 5 pup food i should be giving him?

Don't know about the top 5 per se, but I do know Dick Van Pattens is really good, Harley loves the potato and duck, and it's good for dog's with allergies. There is a list on this site somewhere where the foods are "graded". There's a grading sheet, and many foods have already been done. DVP scored over 100, Purina failed with an F. It tells you what to look for in the ingredients, both good and bad.

California Natural is a great food. If your pup is doing well on that I would keep him on it.

THANKS

Thanks for that. california natural doesn't appear on the grading part of this site... and because its from the same makers as Innova, i'm HOPING it is good quality.
I've been to the natura website and judging by the difference between ingredients with Innova and California Natural... im thinking Innova would be better quality... but i'm finding it hard to locate anybody that sells it. it's all about Eukanuba, Science Diet, and Iams!

Before switching to raw I fed both innova and california natural. My pit did great with innova while my presa couldn't tolerate it (runny stool, low energy level). Once I switched my Presa to California natural, he was great. Here is a list of recommended kibble from the Whole Dog Journal:
