Avacados.....Not dangerous!

OMG! My neighbors have this avacado tree that keeps dropping avacados in my yard. It is too tall to reach them to clear the tree, so they fall. First thing when I let these dogs out, they run straite to the avacados on the graound and start gulping them. ALWAYS!!!
Cato can pick up an avacado and with one smooth swift move, peel the fruit off the pit and spit the pit. Chocy has to chew and make a mes, and Daizy just picks it up and insists on carrying it inside so I take it from her.
As soon as we pick them up, they are back, a ton more fall!

My dogs eat proyy close to 10 a day before I can get out there each time to get them, and as soon as I clear them and turn around more fall and they grab them and run!

Cato is pooing avacado!EW!

But, at least we know, avacados are not poisonour to dogs!

I swear they are vegetarians!!!Lol.....

Raw eggs are a staple in the BARF diet, I have never heard of them doing anything bad to a dog.
The shell must be ground into powder though, to prevent swallowing the sharp edges.

My cats drank milk all their lives, which is supposed to be aweful for them.
My oldest lived to 21.

Wow, alot of confusion over eggs. How about cooking them the same way you would for yourself. Bam gets eggs every morning when he eats breakfast with me. BTW my wife works for a well known DVM who says vegetibles are okay in limited amounts Too much of any vegitable will cause diarhea. Dogs are omnivores after all, not predators. I'm not sure about avacadoes, but I'd avoid anything that could cause an intestinal obstruction (like a pit). Also, I can't tell you how many dogs have either had to have surgery or died from intestinal perforations because of eating bones in the BARF diet. It's at least 50 in the past couple of years that she has worked there.

Raw bones don't cause any problems because they are soft and flexable, it's the cooked chicken bones that dogs tend to choke on. And the whole point of feeding raw is because cooking destroys most of the nutrients in food.

I, like you, feed my dogs cooked egg because I cannot feed raw foods because I am paranoid and grossed out.
I wish I could, because I would. My pit I never gave raw to because she was old (15 when I adopted her, 18 when she died) and the vet said no. Young, old, and any dog with a bad immune system cannot handle raw.

The reason why some dogs get diarrhea is because they aren't adjusted yet, I believe it's called detox.
