Treats!...Although I really don't have a problem. Legend rams the bathroom door everytime he hears the water running and jumps in the tub and Gem crawls in the tub she loves bubble baths!

The only thing I can think of is treats and coax your dog in. Oh maybe you could stand in the tub with her instead of leaning over to give her a bath.

Tried the luring with treats things, once we get near the tub, she slams her breaks on and backs up. I even have the leash on her, and the only way to get her in, is to basically pull her in. She's getting to big for that, and once she's in the tub she's fine, but it's getting her in, that's the problem.

Hehe, Chapps doesn't mind a bath, we just pick him up and put him in...Holly HATED it at first but we just put her in, held her still and hurried up. LOL They are both fine with it now, but Holly still has issues. What can ya do

Is she too heavy for you to pick up and place in the tub? I have to do that with both of my dogs (Bella - 62lbs, Remy - 70lbs.) Neither of them will willingly get in the tub, but they're fine once they're in there.

Treats would probably do the trick.

I swear Patch was a fish in his past life... not only does he love swimming, but bath times are a TREAT for him!
he can't wait to get into that laundry tub (which is getting a little small for him now.....)
He usually falls asleep with his head over the side while i give him a shampoo/massage.... it is SOOOO cute!
he just loves it!

I use the extrra bath and give her a shower. She absolutely HATES water. She freaks out even when she is in there. So I have the bath water on then out of no where I turn on the shower head which drenches her. The shower makes the bath pretty quick becuase it rinses her off quickly. I am going to take her in to get bathed for the holidays though, also to get those gland things squeezed. She is starting to drag her butt.

He follows me in the bathroom, I close the door, get the water temp right, then I drag him into the tub. I get him wet, turn the water off, hop in with him and start soapin him up. The whole time he is just stoic. No fussing at all. He seems to enjoy getting dried off though. Not in the "OMG thanks, I hate being wet" way, but just kinda like he enjoys the attention.

You will think this is crazy, but one time I was showering, and no one was home, so I left the bathroom door open (I hate steamy vapor in the bathroom, it makes drying my hair take longer).

There was a thunderstorm brewing outside. Abraham, my 65-lb boxer mix, is terrified of storms. Sure enough, while I had a face full of soap and my eyes shut, all the sudden Abe just nosed the shower curtain aside and JUMPED into the shower with me! I suddenly felt his nose against my leg and screamed. I rinsed and opened my eyes and there he was, shaking like a leaf and getting soaked! I was laughing so hard. Poor guy. So I figured what the hell, and grabbed his Dr. Bronner's baby soap and lathered him up right then and there! Yeah, it was WEIRD, I suddenly had that moment of clarity where I was like "I'm showering with my dog! WTF!" but I had him washed and rinsed in 5 minutes. He was too scared of the storm to leave my side, so I had no trouble drying him off. By the time we were done the storm had blown over and he was fine - and clean!!!!!!!

Moose gets the hose. He hates the tub and he is to strong for me to pick up or drag into the tub.
This is how I bathe the other three, but I put Clara in the tub.
She jumps right in and with her short hair it is really easy to bath her there.
I can get Holly and Sasha to get in the tub but Rusty is like one of those
cartoon dogs with all four legs splayed out to his sides holding onto the doorway
edges and inwardly yelling NO! NO! NO! I have to get my husband to pick him
up and put him in there. Outside on a chain is just easier.

Annie isn't thrilled with baths, and will try to jump ship so I use an old leash either looped choke chain style around her neck or attached to an old collar. We have a window in our shower, so I just close the leash into the window and it keeps her from jumping out.

I also use a hand held shower head, so I can get down on her level and rinse her belly and chest easily. Yesterday when she was getting her bath, she suddenly realized that there was WATER comming out of that thing. So long as I let her take afew drinks from it - she was fine.
