I hate to say it, but chances are two females in your household is not going to work out. Bullies are prone to animal aggression. Put two of the same sex together and you're asking for trouble. Doesn't sound like either of the two are too fond of eachother to begin with. Unless you want to crate and rotate (which is extremely difficult, especially when you have children) you might want to consider finding the pup a new home. good luck, whatever you decide.

My husband was just saying 14mths ago he bought a lurcher bitch she was brought up with my staffi she was the same with her but she got used to her then after a while.I might just give it a week or two.If she dosnt come round to he fact that the puppy lives her then i will have to take it further and sell her which i no i will regret. I have only had her since saturday tea time.I will keep my eyes peeled.she has tried mounting her too. is this normal?

This is not a good situation. Are you not aware of the history behind AmSaffs and APBT's?

Either crate and rotate these dogs or find the new puppy a home. If not you are going to be in for alot of vet bills and maybe even hospital visits for yourself and family members. Have you ever seen a dog fight before? Are you well versed in how to break one up?

If you love both dogs then keep both just seperate and rotate them. Its not that hard. Dogs look to you for love not other animals!
Hi tia thanks for your advice :D i have done what you said rotate them. My older bitch seems to be getting used to the idea now. Not a nasty and snappy as she was at first but i am keeping my eyes on her not giving her a chance I know it will be fatile. But we have so attached to stella as my daughters called her. She will be going to the vets for her first inoculation this week. then another when she is 12weeks old she loves playing with our other lurcher bitch. shes 14mths old. running and playing in the garden shes so gentle with her. .if i knew how to put a picture of her on here i would but i dont know where to start. she such a darling. I agree with everyone else, crate and rotate or find a new home.

I just wanted to add, if you are going to try it out for a few days, NEVER Leave them alone together!!!! Anytime you aren't in the room, separate them!!!
