I don't think you are strange, Tia. I enjoy tracking also. I find it relaxing and I agree that once your dog really starts tracking and you KNOW your dog is tracking that scent of disturbed ground, it is a cool sense of accomplishment. Both my dogs LOVE tracking. As soon as they see me take the flags and the articles you should see how excited they get. They both drag me out to their flags when its their turn. If there is one phase in Schutzhund that Rosco is ready for it is tracking.
Here is a video Tia's hubby, Jeff took when they were here visitng in may. Only shows from the scent pad to the first article, probably about 1/8 of the track but it gives you a bit of an idea of how he does.

PS Tia, you must get some video of Boris tracking sometime soon! It sounds like he is much improved!
