How did they use it in a sentence?

If they said she is double bred, High Jumpin Mikie, then that means he is in the ped twice. Just an example, lol.

I saw it on another message board. The person said "She comes off some stock we have and doublebred together purposely to tighten up some old bloodline."

I'm just curious what that whole sentence means.

Oh... so does it mean that, say, the sire of this pup is actually the grand-sire too? Or something to that effect?

It could mean that, or just that one dog is in the ped twice. If they are trying to tighten up then it is probably what you said.

They obviously like that particular dog alot, and are trying to get as close to it as possible, does that help? :D

The same dog appears twice in the dogs pedigree. Triple bred would mean the same dog would appear 3 times in the pedigree and so on...
