they are not "breeding" books per say but willis's "genetics of the dog" and padgett's "control of canine genetic disease" are two of the best i have read to date

GOT14U, at least you are trying to learn about what it is you plan to do b4 you do it. not doing it first and educating after like so many others. take your time, do your research and hopefully your dogs will turn out to be good breeding prospects. if they end up not fitting the bill, well, hopefully you will be able to see that too. with breeding and genetics you need to look back in the lines as well. know as much as you can about your dogs AND the dogs in it's pedigree. it can be fascinating researching but i can also be very disappointing sometimes.
