I think an obedience class with a behaviorist (not just a trainer) is the best idea. You will learn how to teach your dog and assert your position as the dominant one in the pack. Your daughter should go to the class, too, because she needs to learn to assert herself as well (else Freedom will continue to walk over her). IMO, obedience classes are great fun for owners and dogs alike, and a good social opportunity for the pup.

And, yup - you've got a teenager on your hands! Expect her to push the boundaries, and be ready to do some extra training. Don't lose patience - you'll get through it!
