Atticus was prescribed Tussigon for his cough...he's out...and coughing today. Anyone know if we can give like a child's dosage of cough tylenol? I'll be able to up his prescription tomorrow...but I know you can give these guys Imodium or Pepto, so wondering if the same was true for colds/coughs.

Yes you can, get kids' robitussin or the generic thereof.

I can't find the dosage right off but you'd use about as much as you would for that size of kid.

Dogs usually don't cough for a long time unless they have kennel cough, which is treated/prevented by the bordetella vaccine through the nose. usually when dogs are sick they vomit/diarrea/runny eyes/runny nose. I never seen a dog cough when they're sick.

He's 110% up on his shots, and the vet said that it's tracheal bronchitis. Odd to me, as well. Getting better, though.

Yep. Went and got him some more of his Tussigon yesterday and some prednisone to try to stop the inflammation in his trachea. He's feeling much better.
