Last nite after our walk, Orson started hacking like he was almost
dry heaving. Not producing anything tho. Kept doing that for couple
hours. After that stopped he started "honking", like he was snorting. Then when sleeping last nite, he kept sneezing.

Not sure it's kennel cough cause he was boarded at a kennel, but that was at beginning of this month.
He seems to feel fine, appetite good and he still wants to play. :?

Could it be allergies?

(he's been waking up "honking" about once a week for a while now)

well, i gave him a benadryl when i left for work and now that i'm home
he hasnt been doing any of those things. He just played fetch for 30 min.,
so he seems fine. Makes me think it's allergies.

I read about "reverse sneezing" when looking up his symptoms online.
It is a "honking" fit that mostly small breeds ( :? ) get where
for just a few seconds the dog will do a reverse sneeze where they suck
in thru nose, not blow out and it sounds like a honk or a snort.
Like i said Orson does that alot at nite and i figured it's just allergiens that
get into his nose.

If he has another hacking fit, i will take him to vet monday.
