How much exercise do your dogs get daily? I remember hearing a while ago 'if you own a bully breed, you shouldn't be out of shape'. Or something along those lines. And sheeeesh that seems true. I play with my two all day (fetch, frisbee, daily walks) and they just never freakin run out of energy! After all of their exercise, they come home and start chasing eachother around the backyard! ahhhH!

I try and take Eros on a 2 1/2 mile run everyday. Jaeger will be joining in on the runs within the next few months. After the run, we go home and pick up the other dogs. All seven go on a 2 1/2 mile walk daily. They also get 1-2 tennis ball sessions a day, lasting about 30 minutes each.

Well, the worst part is . . . the more you exercise them, the better shape they get into and the harder it is to wear them out (thus more exercise). I bike both our dogs, pretty brisk, mixing in sprints every few blocks 5 miles in the morning and 5 in the evening. After the evening one, they will rest 15 min and then we let them in the living room while we relax and they will brawl, chase each other, and play tug with each other until we put them to bed for the night.

I have given up on making them tired. Zues is a AB, so occassionally he will get tired (if real hot out); Sibyl is a Boxer though and there is no tiring her out.

Patch gets a walk every morning - i get up at 6am and take him walking for 40 mins before work (we walk through the park, and i throw the ball around to try to tire him out).
He then gets another 40 min walk with game of fetch in the afternoons/evenings.
If my husband gets home early, he will take him to the beach or park to wear him out with a game of fetch.

Thor is SO right though... the more you exercise them, the more they build up a resistance and do NOT tire out!

Unless it's hot outside and we've literally ran him til he almost collapses from exhaustion... we will get home and he still wants to play.

he's so full of energy.... but I agree with ChappsnHolly.... it makes us so much more fit!
which is great!
so 2 daily walks, AND the gym for an hour has made hubby and i really fit, thank goodness.

Legend & Gemyni gets walks every day 2 times a day. Legend goes on 2 1/2-7 mile walks a day and then runs around in an enclosed area at the park(not dogpark). During the day around lunchtime we play fetch or frisbee for about an hour or flirtpole. He plays with his boomer ball after I get off of work for an hour. Then if he has any of his training classes after dinner. And on weekends he's all over the place. Walking through the trail at the park, playing with kids(my family), his play group, etc. And he gets to play with Gemyni and my neighbor's two dogs for about an hour or two. along with all the play he gets from family that comes over.....After all that you'd think he'd be tired..NOPE! lol...Thats why he's getting a doggie treadmill for Chrstmas! lol

Nice. Doggie treadmill is at the TOP of our wish list too. The gym and this dog exercising is killing me!
But think of how healthy you are getting!

i won't get a doggy treadmill for this reason.... i love that i am feeling fit since we got Patch!
