They were born the 13th, right? The same day as mine? I'm curious, because mine started opening their eyes already on Sunday, 8 days old. My last litter, I thought it was 2 weeks until that happened. Have yours started yet? They're looking very good. But, for clarification, is this your dog, foster dog, planned breeding, accidental? Just wondering, I thought it was planned, but I saw someone aske if you knew what the sire was. I'm confused by the few litters we have here at one time...

Mama's a foster - she came from the shelter already about 7 weeks along. The pups were born a few days after yours - on the 16th, so they're one week today. I was hoping they would come on the same day as yours, because it would have been easier on me for them to come on the weekend, but no luck - they had to wait until Tuesday, just so I could be up all night then have to go to work the next day. There are a bunch of litters on here at the moment, aren't there?

Okay - for the rest of the questions :wink: :

I think they're mixed with boxer, because her companion who came into the shelter with her was an intact male boxer. I think that accounts for their BIG heads! :lol: Three of them have HUGE heads, two of them are runty, and the three fawn seem pretty well proportioned. Their ears are very tiny - maybe the'll eventually catch up with their big giant heads. (any "Third Rock..." fans on here?)

Yes, mommy is feeding them VERY well, indeed. Fat little bellies.

Kelly- I will try to get more of mom. It's hard to get her away from the pups - she's not tired of them yet. :wink: I will try to get some of her and Buster together - they match - it's so cute!

Mom is a pit that she took in thru the foster group she works with...she was pregnant already and when she was turned into the shelter, she came in with a purebred male boxer, so they suspect he is the father (especially since so many of the pups are very boxer looking). And your puppies are already opening their eyes! WOW! Those pups are in a hurry to see the world, lol!

And Jen, I agree, we need some more pics of mom...she's beautiful, too!

I'd have to say they are part boxer, because my Shelby's ears looked just like those little nubs when she was a pup!
