Hi there i have a 9 month old staffordshire bull terrier and he barks alot.......
When ever we do anything he barks.... playing with my daughters , singing , cutting the grass, basicly anything that any of us do he will bark ,
Anybody got any idea's how to make him stop it or reduce the amount that he barks,????

I will help you.

Run him alongside a bicycle to TIRE him out when he goes into one of his senseless barking attacks.

couldn't hurt,

jackie
Barking collar will stop that real quick! http://radiofence.com/bark_collars.htm

Best way to do it, nuisance barking needs corrective action right away!
My dogs don't really have a barking problem, but I have always wondered will a barking collar stop the dog from barking altogether. Would it still bark at an intruder after it has been "trained" by the collar not to bark?

How well do the ultra sonic collars work? Would they be a nuissance to other dogs in the yard/house that aren't barking?
I agree with Jackie.... first try more exercise and then resort to a bark collar if that does not work

A tired out bully = a happy barkless bully

I would also agree but if that dont work those collars will teach them real quick. You need to be careful though I knew someone who used one and his other dog was barking and setting off the collar!
I recently bought a bark collar for my lab mix, we tried a handful of things nothing seemed to work. We put the bark collar on her and she was oblivious to the collar, she just barked more. Has anyone else had this problem?
Someone suggested shaving a little part on her neck where the prongs go ( she has a shepherds coat )

All suggestions are welcome :D
My sister had a citranela (SP) bark collar she used for her dalmation who was always barking and it worked for a lil while but then he would just bark while the thing was going off and if any other dog would bark it would go off so it really didnt help much.

Make sure the collar is tight and if it still does not work up the voltage. If you cannot up the voltage then you have a cheap collar and you need to buy another one.
