Hello all

When i baught my AB (Mona) she didnt come with no pappers just a papper that showed she got her shots i was wondering how do i go by getting her registered or AKC i know for sure she is pure AB i saw bouth of the parents if anyone could help i have no idea if i need anything or not. thanks

See if you can look at any papers the breeders might on the mom and dad. Probably the NKC ould be the easiest, but you'll need to fill out an mail in the top form on this page...... http://www.nationalkennelclub.com/Forms/forms.htm

youv posted this in the breeding sec... so i asum your try to get papers for him so you can stud him out or breed with a bitch you own ?...where did you get him from...?... go there first if they dident take the time to have there pups reg... chances are he's not 100% AB but id start there first .. and why is it sutch a big deal to have a reg... dog unless your going to breed ...find out as mutch about his pedagree as you can youll need the info... :wink: good luck just love the dog for who he is a PET not breeding stock !!!! and if you want to get a dog worth breeding start by going to a REPUTABLE BREEDER ! get a reg...dog and work on getttig him proven and titeled then after 3-4 years and all the hard work you might ..i say might ..have somthing worth getting into breeding with ...if you just want cool cute littel pups for what ever reason ..papers dont matter other than to look better in add's :? ....and if iam way off for the reason for the papers sorry but sounds to me like your wanting this for you not the dog ! :wink: have a good day !

you can get her regestered if the parents have beed reg. and you get a letter with the reg.numbers of both sire and dam, from the breeder. that is the only way I know.

I wouldn't worry about papers I'd just love the dog you bought. You could though talk to the breeder and see if the parents were regisered.

I also thought the AKC didn't recognize ABs?

Sometimes people want to have papers for there dog just to say there purebred, and that's cool.
just find out who your dogs perents are and there parents.Even if they were not registered If there is some kind of record. You can register your dog. If you cant find this you can not get papers.
Like everyone here has stated AKC does not register AB's.

These are the good AB registeries.
BTW. That sure is a good looking pup you got there.

The problem is that papers do not make a dog purebred. Papers can be hung & are hung way to easily not to mention the fact that most dogs that don't have papers are probably not purebred anyways. And just sending in a photo of your dog & $25 dollars & recieve "papers" doesn't make your dog purebred either.

Just as any registry.
