Ok, so we have had issues off and on with Brodie having pimples on his chin. We have switched dog foods three times I think, trying to get it cleared up. Well, we finally went to a small locally owned pet store and talked with them about this issue, they suggested that its a carb problem, so we have put him on a non carb diet. Anyone else heard of this? We tried nutro, then up to nutro natural, then blue buffalo, now we are on is called Barking at the Moon which is all protien and vegetables. . . no carbs.

dogs need a higher protein and higher fat diet than humans but some carb's are still needed.
your dog probably has juvinile pyoderma- teenage acne! dogs can develope this at any time but more prone to puppies.
wash daily with malesab or phyohex shampoo ( available vets or good pet shops ) and pat dry. keep area clean and dry afterwards should clear up in about a week..

Maddi has zit outbreaks at random intervals, lol. I always figured dogs go through periods where they get some acne just like people do.
