Has anybody heard of this condition? My vet said Dozer might have it and now we have to get him evaluated by a board certified vet and if he does he is going to need surgery!!!! :(

I am really nervous as we have only had him for 3 months and we are totally in love with him :(

Most bulldogs have an enlongated palate. That is what causes them to snore and have that "snuffling" sound. They do not all require surgery! If it is causing breathing difficulties then it will need to be corrected. If your dog is able to run, play and do other normal activities without breathing difficulties then I would not be concerned with it.

The problem is that he gets so congested that he throws up and sometimes he cannot sleep or eat because he has to much phlegm. This is our first bulldog and we just want to do what is best for the little guy
