They need to be wiped daily. I use cotton balls/soft tissue/non-scented baby wipes. This is something you cant slack on. They need to be kept dry. From the red irritation it can go into infection which will require a vet visit.

I make sure for the next couple days I wipe them 2-3 times a day. You can also put desitin, gold bond medicate powder or bacitrasine in there to clear it up. There are some that use powder and medicated wipes daily but I find just keeping the folds dry as never been a problem. But it depends on how deep the folds are.

You most definately need to do the same things with his tail pocket or your going to have problems there as well.
Here are a couple great websites just for EB's. They have medical forums you can find these answers on.

www.bulldogsworld.com

When you purchase an EB you really need to educate yourself because they require alot of daily care to keep them healthy.

it is not cherry eye...the eye it's self is effected then.
This sounds like tear irritation. Just keep them dry. I just use a soft cloth , with warm water 2x a day ,I them make sure they are really dried.
If I'm in the kitchen and a bully wanders in I'm sometimes just take a papertowel and dry them.

BTW..cherry eye is not an infection. It is when the third eyelid protruds out of the eye, it fills with blood and is unable to retract.
