How soon after the birth of the puppies should I start exercising Dixie again?I know obviously I have to give her recovery time, but I know I cannot keep her as she is for too much longer, she's turning into an absolute loaf!

I'm not sure, but I think that it is normal for her to be chubby.

I'm not sure lol, as i've never had a pregnent dog before  But i've watched plenty of those Animal Planet shows, short walks even up and down your driveway while she's pregnent is good. You don't want her lieing around all the time. Excersice can be good when there pregnent, just don't overdoe it of course and you know what signs to looks for when she's tired of walking like heavy panting etc. After the pregnency I think they back bounce to normal again and you can go take her out for a run. I'm no expert lol, but I would also call your vet up or ask or next time you see him/her ask.

And I would love to see a picture of her, see if she is really as plump as you say she is lol.
