I need some advice, has anyone ever heard good/bad things about these three foods:

1: Blue
2: Natures Choice
3: Science Diet

I think that was it, I might have forgotten one.. right now were trying Royal Canine but just always on the look out for useful advice

I would say if he is doing fine on RC, then leave him on that. It is not THE best food out there... but it is definitly a good food.

If he's not doing good on it, then go ahead and change. But I can't help you on the other foods since Kate has only been on RC

One of my fosters is eating "Blue" the lg. breed puppy (he came with the food) He's doing well on it and the ingerdients are decent. Much better than Science Diet IMO.

Well I had Mason on Authority Harvest baked -puppy chicken..

Now Im not sure if he DOES have a standing parasite that didnt show up in his test or if it was the food but he never seemed to want to eat that food too often so thats why I tried switching him..

He LOVES the RC but I wont know how he's doing on it Stomach wise UNTIL he's off his meds because I believe the meds pretty much stop his diarrhea while he's on them..

I wanted to go to DVP if he doesnt do well with RC though.. I will check out that thread.. sorry I keep forgetting its there

His test results were negative when they took them like 3 weeks ago, maybe 4 but I was told it is possible for test results to come back negative and still have a parasite...

They put him on diff meds just to ensure it's not a parasite.. I guess they are a bit stronger.. but if this medication doesnt cure it, they mentioned we COULD do a Giardia test...

They stopped being runny a day after we put him on meds.. Thats what im thinking the meds do partly.. He was in middle of food switch over too though...

Havent talked to breeder about it, but when we first got him his #2 was normal... even while he was on the Harvest Baked it was normal it would go runny every now and then but it got soo bad that it would literally be like water and constant....

Vet said we should compare the two foods (Old one, New one) and look for similar ingredients because it could be a PARTICULAR item in the food... both foods are based off of chicken but like I said I cant tell what the new food does yet until he's done with meds.. Vet said he should stay on them for two weeks and that I probably took him off his last set of meds too soon, which I may have I stopped giving them to him like 2 days before he was done because his #2 went back to normal....

He doesnt act sick or anything so thats good...still a happy energetic loving pup!

Hey thanks for the link.. Ya she gave me a health guarantee as well as a vet cert. stating he was looked at 48 hours prior to shipping and is in perfect health.. I even had to submit a 48 hour vet check of my own to the breeder to ensure both vets concurred..

I have read alot on dog food, (but I havent gotten my dog yet so I am just going off of what I read) and what I found was that alot of bullies have issues with chicken. (my breeder also told me that) She told me to feed puppy lamb and rice. So maybe that might help
