I have tried most of the foods listed, Orijen and Merick are the only two that my guy has digested without issue. Merick is very reasonably priced as well and what I have been using as of late. Will go raw one of these days.

Seems like alot of alergy type issues going on. I was going to jump in earlier but thought I would wait until after the vet visit. Harley had the same symptoms as Bowser on his feet, the dark red color and also alot of shedding. He also had really dirty ears. The ear issue tuned out to be a yeast infection, I feel bad I didn't catch that earlier before it turned into that. I wonder if it was caused by his constant scuba diving when he gets in the water and his ears not drying well. The vet thought his feet may have been infected also, but the tests didn't show any infections, so it was some sort of alergy. She recomended also going on a limited ingredient food for a while as Queen mentioned. What the heck is going on with these dogs, he has had minor alergies before, but this crazy...Raw might be coming sooner than later even if i have to shop at the grocery store and pay the premium for now.

Hey Dan, sucks for poor Harley. Bowz is the same with the exception of the ear infection. I clean his ears regularly. The allergies may be the result of ragweed season. We have had a lot of rain here in Ontario, spiking the humidity and the growth of weeds. A lot of dogs seem to be sensitive to the plants.
Yeah, we normally keep an eye on his ears too but for some reason neither of us kept up on it and it slipped by us. It must be painful for him but you know these guys they don't complain about pain. As for the food, I'll be buying something new with limited ingredients temporarily I guess....
