My fiance heard that if you steam veges for dinner, you can give the water from the steamed veges to your dog and its really good for them because of all the nutrients. i figured this would be the perfect place to ask this question. Anyone have any comments on this?

I just give my dogs ground raw vegetables.

You can do this but I've heard that the broth from steamed veggies is pretty potent so only a little should be given at a time. If you give too much, your dog could get bad diahrea. I feed my dogs pureed veggies every day mixed with yogurt and they love it. It's very healthy. Also too much cruciferous veggies (brocoli, cauliflower, cabbage) can cause thyroid problems so be careful to not give a lot of that.

Also defatted, unsalted and unseasoned Chicken broth. What one could
do is to take these broths and freeze them in ice cube form and put a
cube into their bowl of water. Would think this would be good during
these hot summer months for them. Just a thought.
